#POSEONTOUR: NEW YORK CITY GUIDE FOR DUMMIES

POSE-NYC-1
Like you read before: a few weeks ago I still was a NYC virgin. Luckily time has changed and I
can proudly say I f-i-n-a-l-l-y visited this beyond ah-some city! Now I want to share all my tips
with you. The (with) Who, What (to do), When (to stay), Where (to go), Why (should you visit)
and How (long)

Remember, this is a guide for Dummies! Not for the advanced NYC travelers among us.
Or maybe you can also catch up some stuff you haven't discovered yet... Are you ready?!

(with) WHO?
I went with my beloved boyfriend Bryan. My ticket to New York was actually my birthday gift!
Yeah, he's the sweetest :) Besides visiting this city with your BF, I think it would also be amazing
to go together with a fellow blogger or one of your best friends.

WHAT (to do)?
I want to force you to play the typical tourist! But be a smart tourist though.
- Sail past the Statue Of Liberty with the Staten Island Ferry (it's free!)
- Book a hotel with city view (and soundproof if that's possible)
- Take a yellow cab just for fun. Because it's not going to bring you anywhere
because of this major trafficjam 24/7 in the city
 - Eat as much donuts and hamburgers as you can
- Buy the New York Times
- Discover Coney Island and Brooklyn in a day
- Spend your night at a rooftop (party)
- Before you take the subway, buy the 7-day unlimited pass and do a little research
on all the subway lines, otherwise you'll get lost 129371 times a day
- Drink takeaway coffee, that's what locals do ;)

WHEN (to stay)?
It depends on your goals. I stayed in NYC during Fashion Week (in September) and it was beyond
ah-mazing! But also just as expensive during the holidays, because September is New York's high
season. I recommend to book your trip as early as possible.

WHERE (to go)?
If you're going to New York for the first time in your life, I recommend you to stay in the middle
of Manhattan. I stayed in Chelsea for example. My favorite districts are: Soho, Greenwich,
Nolita and Chelsea. For food & drinks in Manhattan you should definitely go to:
- By Chloé (Greenwich)
- Buvette (Greenwich)
- Shake Shack (best burgers in the world)
- Egg Shop, where I spotted Karlie Kloss (Nolita)
- The Butcher's daughter (Thé blogger hotspot)
- The Cannibal (Chelsea)
- Pounds & Ounces (Chelsea)
- Hudson's Market (Chelsea)
- Nomo Soho (blogger hotel)

ALSO:
- Pay a visit to Carrie Bradshaw's crib at Perry St.
- Visit the 9/11 memorial, but please don't take "smiling" selfies over there...
- Watch the gigantic buildings at Wall Street
- Have a picknick at Central Park
- Check all the lights at Times Square
POSE-NYC-15 BROOKLYN HOTSPOTS:
- Wythe Hotel rooftop (with Manhattan skyline)
- Fette Sau (Williamsburg)
- Visit Coney Island
 - Walk across the Brooklyn Bridge

WHY (should you visit)?
Do I even need to answer this question? Didn't thought so either...
POSE-NYC-10
HOW (long)?
To my opinion at least 7 days. Because of NYFW I didn't even had the chance to discover this city
in full peace - so there's a reason for me to come back ;) - but a week must be enough.
